This policy explains how JTC Construction Ltd (“JTC”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit this website, request a quote or work with us. We are the data controller for this information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
JTC Construction Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 08010329.
Registered office: Top Floor, West Hill House, Dartford, Kent, DA1 2EU.
Email: [email protected] · Phone: 07545 573833
What we collect
When you use our quote form, email or call us, we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address
- your postcode (and later your property address, if we visit or quote)
- the type of job and anything you tell us about your project, timescales or budget
- basic technical details such as your IP address, which our hosting provider uses to keep the site secure and stop spam
If we go on to work together, we will also keep quotes, contracts, invoices, project notes and photos of the work. Customers who use our online project portal also have a login email and a record of activity in the portal.
How we use it and why
- To reply to your enquiry, visit and quote: so we can take steps you have asked for before entering a contract.
- To carry out and manage your project: to perform our contract with you.
- To keep financial and tax records: to meet our legal obligations.
- To keep the website and portal secure and prevent spam: our legitimate interests.
We do not sell your data, and we will not send you marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with service providers who help us run the business, under contracts that protect it:
- Cloudflare (website and project portal hosting, security and cookie-free visitor statistics)
- Resend (sending portal login codes and enquiry notifications to our team)
- 20i / Stackmail (our email)
We may also share relevant details with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, building control or your local council where needed for your project, or if the law requires it. Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations are in place.
Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts and map tiles from OpenStreetMap, which means your browser connects to those services and shares your IP address with them.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quotes that don’t go ahead: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Customer and project records, contracts and invoices: 6 years after the project finishes, for tax and legal reasons.
- Project photos: we may keep photos of finished work (not showing you or your personal details) to show examples of our work. We will ask first before we publish photos of your home.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our visitor statistics do not use cookies. The project portal sets one essential cookie to keep you signed in.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to ask us to correct, delete or restrict it. You can also object to how we use it, or ask for a copy in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or call 0303 123 1113.
